Gibson Original ES-335 '60s Dark Walnut

MUSICMARKET presents the Gibson Original ES-335 '60s Dark Walnut. First introduced in 1958, the ES-335 arrived as something altogether new—an elegant hybrid that married the warmth and openness of a hollowbody with the focus and sustain of a solidbody. The '50s iteration leans into that original vision, offering a slightly fuller, rounder feel in both hand and tone. Its laminated maple/poplar/maple body is anchored by a solid maple centerblock, keeping feedback at bay while allowing the instrument’s natural resonance to bloom with a woody, articulate voice that feels equally at home in smoky jazz clubs and cranked-up blues sessions. The mahogany neck features a substantial Rounded C profile, a nod to Gibson’s late-'50s shaping that fills the palm without ever feeling cumbersome. It’s paired with a bound rosewood fretboard adorned with classic acrylic Dot inlays—understated, familiar, and built for long stretches of inspired playing. Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons and a lightweight aluminum ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge with Stop Bar tailpiece round out the hardware, delivering reliable tuning stability and a direct, resonant transfer of string energy. Under the hood, a pair of calibrated T-Type humbuckers™ brings the ES-335’s voice into sharp focus—clear and expressive, with a touch more warmth and bloom befitting its '50s roots. Hand-wired controls with Orange Drop® capacitors offer a smooth, musical taper, inviting subtle shifts in tone that reward a nuanced touch. There’s a reason the ES-335 has endured for decades. In its '50s form, it feels especially close to the source—woody, responsive, and unmistakably Gibson. A guitar that doesn’t just adapt to your style, but quietly elevates it. Product condition: New.
