Gibson 1968 T-Top Reissue Pickup, Double Black, 2-Conductor, Unpotted, 7.5k, Alnico 5

MUSICMARKET presents the Gibson 1968 T-Top Reissue Pickup, Double Black, 2-Conductor, Unpotted, 7.5k, Alnico 5. The Gibson Pickup Shop 1968 T-Top Reissue in Double Black T-Top bobbins is a faithful recreation of the humbucker™ style Gibson produced from 1966–1979, when coil forms were stamped with a “T” on top—originally a simple production mark used to confirm bobbins were oriented correctly, and the detail that ultimately gave these pickups their iconic “T-Top” nickname. Revered for a voice that’s brighter, tighter, and more aggressive than late50s Patent Applied For designs, original T-Tops became a defining ingredient in countless classic recordings and have been associated with players including Jimmy Page, Chuck Berry, B.B. King, Pete Townshend, Angus Young, Peter Frampton, Nancy Wilson, Randy Rhoads, Mick Ronson, and Tony Iommi, among many others. Built for any position, this reissue nails the vintage formula with Alnico 5 magnets, period-correct winding specifications, 2conductor wiring, and an unpotted construction that preserves the open, immediate attack and dynamic response players chase, while its uncovered build and Double Black T-Top bobbins deliver the unmistakable old-school look. With an average 7.5k DC resistance, it’s engineered to deliver authentic T-Top character—classic visuals and that focused, punchy edge—without the vintage T-Top price. Product condition: New.
